Every success story requires a first step..

I was told that getting good grades, going to university, buying a house, earning money would all lead to a perfect life of happiness. So why was I still feeling demotivated and unfulfilled?

It’s February 2020, there’s a pandemic, I’ve just torn my Achilles tendon and need an operation, I’m feeling stuck in my current sales role and I’m 3 months away from having my daughter. I’m supposed to have it all figured out by now but I’m still bumbling through life, blowing around from one activity to the next.

I’m hugely grateful for what I have, but when you’re in a rut, it’s difficult to recognise what’s in front of you.

In fact, I couldn’t see very clearly at all with all the emotional baggage in the way. I had pieces of a puzzle, spurts of unsolved thoughts and a detachment to most things - have I even found ‘my thing’? I can’t connect in the way I used to. I don’t have my spark, were all common thoughts… It’s at this point I decided I needed to make a change, sort through the puzzle pieces, get out of the rut, find my thing, and it was the first step into coaching.

I hired a coach, Laura. She was great. She allowed me to sort through the clutter, access blindspots and articulate what I really wanted that aligned with my personal why. As someone who values connection, personal development and contribution to others, coaching ignited a spark in me that I hadn’t felt in some time.

A spark that I wanted others to experience with me. It’s why I launched my own coaching practice in 2021.
